There has always been an unspoken idea of whether being ‘smart ‘ was purely genetic or simply just a gift. In the first article I agree with some of the findings. If scientist  study race and IQ , it should be fair. Do not just test poor blacks with wealthy white Americans. But categories every body the same. Which would include the same lifestyle, backround and  demographics. If scientist feels that testing is necesary to prove their point, then they need to level the playing field. The problem is they will not. When you began to categorize a group of people according to a standard that is not even their own, of course they will be some discrepencies. scientist need to be very careful when distinguishing a  race of people regarding their mental compacity. The study can be done as a teaching tool as to how schools could make learning  less difficult  in such a diverse setting. On the opposing side it could also be use as a weapon of discrimination on partucular ethnic groups. When articles are publish with the topics of education and ethnicity we know what audience is targeted, and thats the problem of free speech. If a bank ceo reads a study done about asians being more proficient in math by a large percent than other minority groups, when the applications began to come in he has already set in mind of what classification this person must be in to run his accounting department. That is what Iam afraid of. Qualified people being overlooked because of a bias study. Being gifted in the mind is truly a gift  from God. It is even quoted in scripture that King Solomon was the wisest man that everlived. But even before God endowed him with this gift he had to have a desire for it. The same goes when it comes to knowledge in any field of study, one must desire it, regardless of ethnicity, economical status or genetics, the desire must be there first, then the knowledge will come

I agree wholeheartedly. It’s a shame when society allows studies to be used as tools to stereotype minorities. That is simply what they are trying to do. Attempting to gain leverage over races by declaring inferiority because of built in biased tests. That is why many colleges are now moving away from using SAT scores as the main criterion for admittance.
